Job Summary

As a Radiation Oncology Nurse at Memorial Hermann Health System, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are seeking an experienced RN with 3 or more years of Oncology experience to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Provide Professional Nursing Care: Conduct thorough nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatment, and educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment options.
  • Coordinate Patient Care: Develop and implement discharge and/or transfer plans, ensuring a seamless transition of care for patients.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of programs and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to Regulatory Standards: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards, including those related to patient safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing, Certified in Basic Life Support, and additional certifications may be required based on discipline and/or nursing unit requirements.
  • Experience: 3 or more years of Oncology experience, with a strong background in patient care and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
