We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric ICU Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations, including psychological status assessments.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiology studies.
- Provide education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers on current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate with our team to improve clinical and system practice performance through quality-related initiatives.
- Participate in research projects and protocols, and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
- Master's degree or higher in nursing, with completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program.
- Acute Care Certification required, or graduate of a Master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
- One year of pediatric experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in PICU, ICU, or ER preferred.
- Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing, or licensure by the Texas Physician Assistant Board.
