Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

Resilient Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physical therapists in delivering exceptional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in direct patient care, following established plans of care and ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Prepare engaging exercises and activities to promote patient progress and independence.
  • Provide counseling and consultations to patients, family members, and caregivers, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Review patient files, identifying areas of progress and challenges, and collaborating with physical therapists to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
  • Participate in continuing education courses and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills within the field.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Associate degree in physical therapy or related field.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Experienced in working with sensitive patient records and information.
  • Physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrates a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members.
  • Accountability and attention to detail are essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
