Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to contribute to our dental practice's mission of delivering exceptional oral care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine dental cleanings, including removing plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth, to maintain patients' optimal oral health.
  • Conduct thorough oral health assessments to detect signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis, cavities, and periodontal disease, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and the importance of regular dental check-ups, promoting long-term oral health.
  • Apply fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive dental care measures to prevent oral health issues.
  • Take and process dental X-rays for diagnostic purposes, providing accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Provide deep cleaning treatments (scaling and root planing) for patients with periodontal issues, addressing complex oral health needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to develop comprehensive patient treatment plans, prioritizing patient-centered care.
  • Administer local anesthetics, if certified and permitted by state law, to ensure patient comfort during procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Dental Hygienist in the state of California.
  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, procedures, and oral health care, staying updated on industry developments.
  • Proficiency in dental X-ray technology and sterilization techniques, ensuring accurate diagnoses and safe care.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills, effectively conveying complex information to patients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality care, prioritizing patient satisfaction.
  • Friendly, patient-focused attitude with strong interpersonal skills, building trust with patients and colleagues alike.
