Job Overview

The VFP Pharmacy Group Pharmacy Intern plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This dynamic and rewarding role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and dispensing of medication orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Support the pharmacy team in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacist and pharmacy team to provide the best possible patient experience, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of pharmacy operations.
Requirements
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional holidays and rotating weekends.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pharmacy Student Intern license required.
  • 0-1 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Paid internship with no college credits offered.
  • Must be a Doctor of Pharmacy student enrolled in an accredited college or university, or a graduate of a non-approved school of pharmacy meeting Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy registration requirements.
  • Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications.
