About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical unit at Ascension St. Vincent's Birmingham. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, implement and monitor patient care plans, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring patient condition.
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and individualized care.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs, ensuring a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification, obtained within 1 month of hire date.
  • Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse (APRN) credential, obtained prior to hire date.
  • Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
