Senior Container Solutions Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Sustain a Platform as a Service (PaaS) using RedHat OpenShift
  • Collaborate with the A&A Team to uphold security standards for system operations
  • Enhance and manage existing infrastructure, including autoscaling, supporting new services, and optimizing for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
  • Create comprehensive documentation
  • Oversee systems in an AWS environment utilizing EC2, S3, ELB, and RDS
  • Manage systems in a VMware vSphere environment, leveraging NSX and NetApp StorageGRID
  • Automate and refine service deployment processes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT
  • At least 5 years of experience with Platform as a Service solutions, such as RedHat OpenShift or Tanzu
Essential Skills:
  • Experience in constructing and managing Platform as a Service offerings through cloud providers
  • In-depth knowledge of RHEL/CentOS Linux distributions
  • Strong familiarity with RedHat OpenShift and/or other Kubernetes distributions
  • Proficiency in containerization technologies, including Docker
  • Extensive knowledge of Amazon Web Services
  • Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
  • Experience in automating tasks using scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and Continuous Integration tools
  • Strong communication abilities
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience managing production RedHat OpenShift clusters
  • Solid understanding of cloud APIs and AWS/CLI interactions
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Salt, or Terraform
  • Experience with programming languages like Python, Ruby, or Java
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, and portal development
Preferred Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator
