Job Summary

Crawford Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in evaluating, planning, and administering Occupational Therapy services to patients. Your expertise will help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent physical disabilities, ultimately enhancing patients' overall functioning within their environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat patients with Occupational Therapy procedures and treatments, including ADL training, coordination training, functional therapeutic exercise, sensory integration techniques, edema control, and splinting.
  • Supervise and direct Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) and maintain open communication with the Rehab team.
  • Perform assessments, interpret results, and design treatment programs for patients with varying degrees and types of disabilities.
  • Formulate realistic and appropriate short and long-term treatment goals, involving patients and their families in the development of the plan of care.
  • Observe and evaluate treatment effects, recommending changes to physicians as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, monthly notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities and adhere to established safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
  • Current Professional Licensure Required
  • Current IL Occupational Therapist License Required
  • Valid Driver's license and proof of personal auto insurance Required
  • BLS Required
  • AOTA Membership Preferred
  • Occupational Therapy minimum 1 year Preferred
