Job Summary

You will be part of building and creating new partnerships with our customers, serving as the face of the Optimum brand. As a brand ambassador, you will be a curious and digitally savvy individual who is comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer experiences, guiding customers through their store journey and building strong relationships with our brand. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring a clean and organized store environment, and consistently delivering top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong understanding and enthusiasm for technology, especially company products and services.
• Serve as a go-to resource for the store team, supporting them in the front and back of the store.
• Constantly scan the sales floor to ensure counters, devices, accessories, and walkways are accessible, clean, and functioning, and report any exceptions to leadership.
• Greet customers during peak times, identifying sales opportunities and connecting them with sales consultants in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate company technology to new customers, ensuring they understand the basics of Optimum services.
• Perform non-sales customer service transactions, including equipment returns and swaps, customer pickup for buy-online-pick-up in-store order fulfillment, and in-store post-sales support for device data transfers and phone number ports.
• Support the onboarding of mobile customers, post-sale or in tandem with sales representatives, which may involve assisting with account setup, data transfer, mobile device education, or resolving account setup errors.
• Assist store leadership with inventory and merchandising responsibilities, including receiving inventory, stocking the back of house, conducting weekly cycle counts, and identifying opportunities to improve the store count process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of work experience
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Overtime eligibility
• Ability to travel to other stores within 35 miles (for some locations)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to carry and lift up to 25-pound boxes and remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods
• Continual movement in different positions in a retail setting to accomplish tasks in various environments
