We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Primary Care Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Lancaster General Health primary care office.

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Primary CareKey Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing services to patients across various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Provide clinical advice by phone or electronic correspondence, using clinical judgments and/or triage protocols.
  • Offer patient-specific education on preventive care, chronic disease management, acute diagnoses, medications, and other areas relevant to patient outcomes.
  • Prepare patients for visits by utilizing appropriate rooming standards tools.
  • Administer injections and medications as prescribed by providers and in accordance with department protocol.
Essential Functions:
  • Collaborate with providers and patients to review and revise care plans, assessing patient progress and following up between visits as needed.
  • Care coordinate activities among specialists and transitions of care to obtain all necessary patient information.
  • Serve as a patient experience advocate, promoting a positive influence at all times when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
  • Maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are adequately supplied and cleaned after each patient visit.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing, including hearing, flu, urine, and strep tests.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a LPN or RN educational program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience. The role requires occasional regional travel; ability to travel to multiple sites is required.
