Job Summary:

We are seeking a part-time biology instructor to teach courses in cellular/molecular biology. As a biology instructor, you will have the opportunity to develop and teach courses, working closely with our departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Teach one, two, or three biology courses, depending on your interest and availability
• Develop and teach courses in cellular/molecular biology, including topics such as cell biology, developmental biology, human disease, immunology, neurobiology, animal physiology, and stem-cell biology
• Design and implement engaging and effective teaching methods, including lectures, group conferences, and independent projects
• Develop and assess student learning outcomes, including research, writing, and analytical skills
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum

Requirements:

• PhD in biology or a related field
• College-level teaching experience preferred
• Strong commitment to developing the research, writing, and analytical skills of students
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and perspectives

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching courses in cellular/molecular biology
• Familiarity with departmental needs and curriculum goals
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
