About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physics Professor to join our team at NC State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physics courses at the undergraduate level, coordinating course materials, and mentoring students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach life-sciences-level physics courses to approximately 900 students per semester.
  • Coordinate algebra-based physics courses and oversee the deployment of homework and exams.
  • Develop and manage content for problem sessions.
  • Mentor, recruit, and engage in other roles shaped by individual strengths and interests.
Requirements
  • Requires a doctor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Extensive experience teaching physics at the undergraduate level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using WebAssign, Moodle, and similar platforms for course deployment.
  • Familiarity with OpenStax "College Physics" and Chabay and Sherwood's "Matter and Interactions" textbooks.
