Poker Attendant Job Description

Job Summary:

The Poker Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests in the Poker Room. This includes interacting with guests, answering questions, and ensuring a smooth gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere
  • Answer questions from potential players and provide information about Poker Room games
  • Maintain waiting lists for all Poker games using the Bravo system
  • Open and maintain games, ensuring a seamless gaming experience
  • Page players when seats are available and escort players to tables as needed
  • Provide buy-ins to players as needed and perform credits and fills with Dealers
  • Transport cash and chips to and from the Poker Cage as needed
  • Wash and reset decks as assigned
  • Maintain constant contact with the Floor person to ensure proper servicing of guests
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
  • Promote positive guest and team member relations at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior guest service and/or poker experience preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission
  • Must successfully pass background check and drug screening
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts
