Porter/Lot Attendant

The Porter/Lot Attendant is responsible for delivering Ryder's quality, value, and standards to our prospective customers/buyers. This individual will be primarily responsible for pre-inspecting vehicles before the customer(s) take delivery of their purchase. He or she will also be taking scheduled vehicles for test rides as part of our scheduled Used Vehicle Services exercise program to ensure all vehicles meet our high standard and are ready for sale with no issues.

• Exercises used vehicles on Ryder property to assure vehicles are road ready: Check for leaks, visual inspections, and check for minor mechanical malfunctions
• Makes recommendations and complete minor repairs and adjustments on Ryders Used Vehicles
• Records findings and data in variety of Ryders systems, and report them to Vehicle Sales Manager

• Performs other duties as assigned

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• One (1) year or more mechanical and/or customer service required
• Two (2) years or more demonstrated mechanical experience/aptitude preferred
• Must have a valid Drivers License and the ability to meet Ryders driving qualifications
