What is the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program (GNRP)?
UPMC Passavant is excited to announce the recruitment of Graduate Nurses as full-time Professional Staff Nurses as part of a unique Rotational Program. Participants will have the chance to rotate through diverse units, including the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, GI Lab, and either the Orthopedic or Oncology Unit for a duration of 14 weeks.

What to Expect as a GNRP Professional Staff Nurse:
The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care while demonstrating compassion and a commitment to learning. This role requires independent decision-making, effective communication, and collaboration with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
As a Professional Staff Nurse, you will set the standards for nursing care quality and possess the authority and accountability for its delivery. You will consistently demonstrate a commitment to both the community and the nursing profession.

Post-GNRP Placement:
Upon completion of the Graduate Nurse Rotational Program, placements will be determined based on participant preferences, hiring manager needs, and organizational requirements through a collaborative matching process.
Requirements:
- Eligibility for State Board Licensure and successful completion of the NCLEX examination.
- Completion of UPMC Student Nurse Internship Program or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse required prior to program start.
- CPR certification based on AHA standards.
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance.
- Basic Life Support certification.
