Position Overview: Under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will engage in various direct patient care tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with dressing and undressing.
- Collect non-invasive body fluid samples and monitor vital signs, excluding intravenous fluid administration.
- Support physicians and nursing staff during procedures as required.
- Participate in rescue and resuscitation efforts as directed by medical professionals.
- Handle specimens obtained during procedures, ensuring proper labeling and preparation for transport.
- Access and accurately input patient health information into the clinical electronic health record (EHR).
- Assist patients in mobility and care.
- Record and maintain vital signs.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment by sanitizing reusable equipment and procedure areas.
- Restock supplies in designated areas and the supply room.
- Prepare and reset recovery beds.
- Engage in clerical and recordkeeping tasks as necessary.
- Assist with patient transport and discharge as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program.
- Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in healthcare.
- Prior experience in a customer service or clinical environment.
- Proficiency in basic office equipment, including computers and printers.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to remain professional in challenging situations.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
