We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at UES Professional Solutions 29, Inc. (UES). As a key member of our engineering team, you will provide technical oversight and expertise on complex projects, ensuring the highest level of quality and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior technical oversight and expertise on complex proposals and projects
- Examine engineering reports, lot letters, and field recommendations produced by field staff
- Provide recommendations, leadership, mentorship, and guidance to other engineers and project managers
- Generate reports, recommendations, and other documentation needed by clients
- Conduct site meetings, site estimates, and project recommendations for prospective and current clients
- Develop and manage projects with new and existing clients, ensuring profitability
- Participate in business development, networking, and marketing
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineering license (PE) in NC & SC with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed
- 15-25 years of Geotechnical and/or CMT full-time work experience
This position involves 80% office work and 20% field work, depending on the week. You will be required to travel safely to various job sites in a company-provided vehicle and maintain the vehicle's upkeep. Some weekend, overtime work, and/or overnight work and travel may be required.
