Overview
As a Physician Assistant in our Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team, you will be responsible for providing advanced nursing and physician assistant functions according to professional standards of care. You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Job Specifics- This is an excellent opportunity for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a well-established team of specialists in Peoria, Illinois. Our team has a strong affiliation with OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center.
- As a Physician Assistant, you will train with our Advanced Practice Providers and Surgeons to assist in surgery as a first assist, run your own clinic, and rotate in a Call schedule supporting the surgeons on Call.
- Your primary responsibilities will be assisting in surgery, conducting Ortho Patient follow-ups, performing joint injections to non-surgical patients, and rotating through the Call schedule.
- Our expected schedule is 5 days a week, plus one weekend in nine supporting the surgeons on Call.
- Our current practice averages 26,000 annual office visits and annually performs over 5100 billable surgical procedures.
- Our orthopedic team includes surgeons, physicians, physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, and professional clinical staff who treat a full range of orthopedic conditions.
