Job Title: Marine Field Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Field Engineer to join our team at TIC - The Industrial Company. As a Marine Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our marine and heavy civil construction projects.

Job Summary:

The Marine Field Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision. This includes performing quantity calculations, assisting in the preparation of work plans and work packages, and participating in job site safety reviews and toolbox meetings.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
  • Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining the percentage of completed/installed materials and work
  • Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages
  • Participate in job site safety reviews and toolbox meetings
  • Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA's)
  • Participate in job site safety reviews and toolbox meetings
  • Order and schedule material deliveries
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the job site
  • Supervise field operations
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related degree
  • 3+ years of experience working in Infrastructure/Heavy Civil construction environment
  • Interest in heavy civil/marine construction, such as marine, bridges, canals, dams, tunnels, earthwork, structural concrete, pipelines, etc.
  • Committed to the construction industry and not the design industry
  • Knowledge and passion for construction safety
  • Must be willing to relocate throughout career
  • Ability to access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates, environments, and terrain
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
  • Strong work ethic
