Job Summary
We are seeking a Neonatology Specialist to contribute to our university's mission through teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring students, and conducting research in the field of neonatology.
Key Responsibilities
The Neonatology Specialist will be responsible for the following:
- Providing inpatient Level 3 NICU service
- Participating in call coverage with a 4-faculty NICU team
- Leading a 5-member neonatal nurse practitioner group
- Supervising residents and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Providing lectures and conferences for residents and medical students
- Conducting and publishing peer-reviewed clinical research
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a completion of fellowship in neonatology, board certification or board eligibility in neonatology within one year of employment, and a Texas medical license.
