Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN to join our team at St. David's Surgical Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Certification Requirements
    • BLS/ACLS certification is required.
  • Job Details
    • This is a contract position for a Med Surg nurse working nights (7:00PM-7:00AM).
    • No on-call requirements.
    • ACLS and telemetry experience is preferred.
  • Job Requirements
    • Must have strong critical thinking skills.
    • Must have BLS/ACLS certification.
    • Preferred to have over a year of nursing experience.
    • Preferred to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take on relief charge responsibilities.
  • Schedule Information
    • Shift: Night (7:00PM-7:00AM).
    • No on-call required.
    • Weekends: Yes, every other.
  • Unit Specific Information
    • Number of Beds: 20.
    • Number of Staff: Varies depending on surgeries.
    • Type of staff: Day Shift - 1 charge, 1-3 RN/LVN, +/- PCT depending on the number of patients.
    • Night Shift - 1 charge, 1-3 RN/LVN, +/- PCT depending on the number of patients.
    • Patient Ratios: 5:1 on days, and 5-6:1 on nights.
    • Type of equipment: Occasional CPM, T-stat, wound vac.
    • Type of procedures: Orthopedics, Neuro, Urology, Thyroidectomy, Hysterectomy, DIEPs.
    • Dress Code: Scrub Color - Navy Blue.
    • Awards/Recognition: Staff recognized on the spot and through Rise points. Also, colleague recognition.
  • Additional Details
    • Friendly and able to connect with patients and multidisciplinary team.
    • Flexible with working days.
    • Avoid gossip and be responsive with communication responses.
    • Personal clothes are not acceptable.
