Crisis Therapist Specialist

Cumberland River Behavioral Health, Inc. is seeking a skilled Crisis Therapist/Evaluator to join our team. As a Crisis Therapist/Evaluator, you will be responsible for providing crisis assessments, voluntary hospitalization evaluations, and involuntary hospitalization evaluations. You will also provide counseling to Crisis Hub and Wheelhouse clients, as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess consumers who present to CRBH offices in a mental health crisis to determine appropriate level of care.
- Assess persons in local hospitals requesting voluntary hospitalization due to mental health crisis for appropriate level of care.
- Provide jail triage evaluations within required timeframes.
- Provide involuntary hospitalization evaluations as required by law.
- Provide crisis counseling to consumers at the Crisis Hub or the Wheelhouse, as needed.
- Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, professional counseling, psychiatric nursing, or art therapy from an accredited school.
- Certificate or license to practice a mental health discipline and meet all requirements of the respective board.
- Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and compassion when problem-solving, handling conflict, or in a crisis situation.
- Ability to complete record-keeping in a timely fashion.
- Ability to formulate treatment objectives for the person served.
