Visually Impaired Education Specialist

At VocoVision, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to meet the educational needs of students with visual impairments in a remote setting.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a professional with a strong background in special education and experience working with visually impaired students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field, and a valid Kansas teaching license with an endorsement in Teaching the Visually Impaired.
The selected candidate will be responsible for creating personalized learning plans, developing instructional materials, and providing guidance to students with visual impairments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the TVI will work closely with students, parents, and other educators to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments
- Create and adapt instructional materials to meet the needs of students with visual impairments
- Provide guidance and support to students with visual impairments in a remote setting
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other educators to ensure a smooth and successful learning experience
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience
