Job Title: CDL Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Lippert Components. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for transporting finished windows to customers over the road and assisting on the line when available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport finished windows to customers over the road
  • Assist on the line when available
  • Observe all safety rules and policies maintained by the company
  • Prepare finished windows for transportation through appropriate stabilization and safety procedures
  • Deliver finished windows to customer following approved delivery routes and specified delivery areas
  • Unload finished windows at appropriate destination through approved procedures
  • Coordinate necessary paperwork at the time of departure, at time of delivery, and at time of return
  • Receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods as is necessary or assigned
  • Rotate position into production team structure as necessary
  • Assist in repair work as necessary
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices at all times

Requirements:

  • Commercial Drivers License CDL, Class A
  • Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Ability to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, and measurements
  • Ability to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities
  • Welding competency and knowledge of systems
  • Ability to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary
  • Ability to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary
  • Successful problem solving skills
  • Ability to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.
  • Ability to work under physically and mentally stressful situations
  • Ability to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position. Overnight work may be necessary. Over the road travel and local deliveries.
