Gym Monitor

The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Gym Monitor. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our patrons while using the equipment and facilities.

• Monitor the gym area during operating hours, enforcing safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Provide excellent customer service, building relationships with members of all ages and promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere in the gym area.
• Develop problem-solving skills by resolving conflicts and responding to patron concerns in a professional and diplomatic manner.
• Work collaboratively with a team of like-minded individuals dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
• Attend staff meetings and training as scheduled, and follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.

• Minimum age of 21.
• Experience in sports or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid certifications are required.
