Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soliant in Batavia, Illinois. As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, you will work with students to develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve their functional abilities and participation in school activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to improve students' functional abilities and participation in school activities.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
- Provide direct therapy services, consultation, and training to students, teachers, and staff.
- Monitor progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of educational systems and laws related to special education.
