Job Summary

As a CDL Delivery Truck Driver for Performance Foodservice, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Unload Products: Safely operate a tractor-trailer or straight truck to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate with Customers and Vendors: Interact with customers and vendors in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform Safety Checks: Conduct pre- and post-trip safety checks on the tractor-trailer and trailer to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Complete all required paperwork associated with freight, including count checks and customer invoices, in an accurate and legible fashion.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate a two-wheeler, lift gate, and other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driving Experience: 6+ months of commercial driving experience required.
  • Valid CDL A: Must possess a valid CDL A license.
  • Meet State Licensing and Certification Requirements: Must meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Clean MVR: Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass Post-Offer Drug Test and Background Check: Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
  • Valid DOT Health Card: Must possess a valid current DOT Health Card or be able to secure a new one.
