UniFirst is seeking a Heavy Machinery Repair Specialist to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on heavy machinery and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless operation of our manufacturing processes
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience repairing heavy machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Ability to work at heights and in tight spaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. mechanical engineering) an asset
