We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Maintenance Technician for a full-time, Direct Hire position.
*Multiple shifts available, including 1st and 2nd, with sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance offered.
As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment while collaborating closely with the factory management team to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Engaging with peers, supervisors, and engineering teams to analyze root causes of failures and applying insights to enhance equipment availability and meet production targets.
- Coordinating with vendors and technical representatives, and attending training sessions as necessary.
- Documenting all maintenance activities performed on equipment.
- Participating in shift handover meetings to communicate daily operations.
- Working in a cleanroom environment, adhering to required attire and safety protocols.
- Utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling hazardous materials.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- An associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military experience. Exceptions may be made for highly experienced technicians.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume semiconductor environment, with maintenance experience on at least one of the specified tools.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols established by the company.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others to drive improvements through experimentation and standardization.
- Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication abilities.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficiency in navigating and operating computers, with basic knowledge of MS Office being advantageous.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
- A hands-on approach and a strong sense of ownership.
- Physical capability to stand or walk for extended periods and lift weights exceeding 35 pounds.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks that may require bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and squatting.
- Willingness to wear a respirator and other PPE when necessary.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience and strong skills in at least one of the following tool families are essential:
- Thin Films CVD Equipment, including Novellus Concept Two (C-2), Mattson Aspen II, and/or SPTS fxP Delta. Senior experience with any modern CVD platform will be considered.
- Thin Films IMPLANT Equipment, including Varian and/or Axcelis Implanters, preferably with experience in Axcelis 8200 and/or GSD AMAT/Varian E-500. Senior experience with comparable implanters will be considered.
- Thin Films Sputter Deposition (PVD Equipment), including Trikon Sigma 200, Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma, and/or AMAT Endura. Senior experience with comparable sputter tools will be considered.
- Etch HDP, including Aviza/SPTS fxP Sigma. Experience with any modern HDP cluster tool (AMAT, etc.) will be considered.
- Strong RF troubleshooting experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in conducting technical training is preferred, as the candidate will be expected to train others.
- Willingness to work night shifts is a plus.
- Ability to edit and create specifications, training materials, and other technical documentation is highly desired.
