Job Title: Scale House Operator

MarBorg Recovery is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Scale House Operator to join our team at the Tajiguas Landfill. As a Scale House Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate weighing and documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and verify loads with drivers, ensuring accurate weight measurements and documentation.
  • Operate computerized truck scales to determine load weights and enter relevant data into the system.
  • Sort and process weight tickets at the end of each day, submitting them to the billing department.
  • Complete daily scale/receipt reports, maintaining accurate records of all incoming and outgoing loads.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with drivers and other team members.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to compute weights and measurements.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work culture.
Working Conditions:

The Scale House Operator will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and varying noise levels. The ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 pounds, is essential.
