About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Eide Bailly. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and review of high-level tax returns, working with staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of individual and business tax returns, and coaching and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation and review of high-level tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Work with staff to ensure individual and business tax returns are completed correctly and by the required deadline.
  • Coach and mentor staff to enhance their skills and career development, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Gather relevant tax-related information from clients to ensure accurate tax returns are prepared.
  • Apply tax knowledge and expertise to identify opportunities for maximum tax benefit and minimize tax liability.
  • Network and build relationships with clients and colleagues to attract new business and opportunities for the firm.
  • Bill clients for services and guidance provided, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing.

Qualifications

  • Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
  • 5-10 years of experience in public accounting tax work, with a strong understanding of tax regulations and policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex tax issues.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
  • Knowledge of and exposure to a variety of industries, with the ability to apply tax knowledge to different business contexts.
