**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Education Professional to join our team at Building Connections Behavioral Health. As a Special Education K-8 Teacher, you will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in grades K-8.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, with a proven track record of experience in providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities. You will work closely with students, parents, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Behavior Interventionists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure that students with special needs are receiving appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions to access the curriculum and achieve their educational goals.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Teach a small group of students inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, based on their unique abilities, goals, and learning styles.
  • Provide specialized instruction and support in academic, social, emotional, and behavioral areas to students with disabilities, both in inclusive and specialized settings.
  • Use a variety of evidence-based instructional strategies, resources, and technologies to adapt curriculum, differentiate instruction, and address diverse learning needs.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, collect and analyze data, and provide regular progress reports to students, parents, and other stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Appropriate California teacher credential/permit or out-of-state equivalent approved by CDE for special education, or ability to obtain one.
  • Proven experience in providing specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities (K-8, elementary experience is required).
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of diverse learning needs and ability to adapt instruction accordingly.
  • Familiarity with a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies for special education.

**Salary and Benefits:**

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and employee reinforcement days.
