Key Responsibilities- Repair, dismantle, assemble, install, and perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment and make recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Work with co-workers and supervisors to resolve maintenance issues and demonstrate safe and quality-conscious work habits.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety guidelines to ensure quality food products are manufactured in a sanitary production environment.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, including overtime as required.
- Strong mechanical and electrical abilities, with a full working knowledge of shop hand tools and their uses.
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team skills, with the ability to work effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
- Physical ability to perform medium to heavy work, lifting a maximum of 100 lbs (team lift for anything over 50 lbs), with frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to do occasional climbing, stooping, squatting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling, as well as frequent standing/walking.
