Job Summary
This is a temporary Speech Language Pathologist position available from October 1st to February 1st. The position will work with students who have severe disabilities and are medically complex, as well as a smaller group of students in a K-2 SEL program who require social pragmatics support.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive instruction in speech, language, communication, and pragmatic language skills to students with varying needs.
- Assess students using formal and informal test measures to inform IEP development.
- Participate in the development and implementation of student IEPs, working collaboratively with teachers and other special education staff.
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports to stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and new information in the field of communication disorders.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and maintain consistent, reliable attendance.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- DESE License of Speech Language and Hearing Disorders (All Levels).
- Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills in child speech and language development.
- Ability to handle complex issues and provide excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and technology experience.
