Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Screed Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and proper operation of the screed, including daily maintenance and control of automated screed.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance and Safety
- Comply with and promote all safety policies and procedures, including reporting accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Equipment Operation
- Control material taken from the paver and depths of material distributed through the machine.
- Measure and record yield on the jobs.
- Work Environment
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all Middlesex Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Be present for the Daily Huddle and Weekly Toolbox Talks.
- Physical Demands
- Maintain good health status with the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- Be flexible to bend, push, pull, stoop, and/or twist.
- Communication and Teamwork
- Read and understand specifications for each project.
- Complete an Equipment Condition Report Daily.
- Inform your supervisor immediately of any challenges regarding the project.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years screed operation experience.
- Safety and quality orientated.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Organized with the ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
