Transportation Operations Leader

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead our team in transporting detainees to various locations while ensuring facility vehicles meet policies and procedures and comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.


The successful candidate will have outstanding leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to interpret complex written/oral communication, documents, and instructions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations, including scheduling, based on facility requirements and federal Department of Transportation rules and regulations.
  • Interview and onboard Transportation Officer candidates, supervise, mentor, and evaluate their performance.
  • Monitor vehicles and schedule cost-effective maintenance, inspection services, and repairs.

Essential Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Six months experience in detainee and inmate transportation.
  • A valid Class B or C Chauffeur's Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger endorsement within six months of appointment.
  • 80 hours of certified driver training from an approved company trainer.
  • No preventable accidents or driving convictions within three years.
  • Passing a DOT drug and alcohol test.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience.
