**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer to join our team at Krapf Bus Companies. As a key member of our Safety Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Assist the Safety Manager in developing and implementing corporate safety programs and procedures
* Support Division Managers in adhering to DOT, FMCSR, OSHA, and other safety regulations
* Investigate accidents and incidents, documenting all required information and processing necessary reports
* Ensure employee safety compliance and coordinate substance abuse prevention programs
* Conduct post-accident interviews and implement company substance abuse prevention and screening programs
* Oversee drug and alcohol screening programs to ensure compliance with required testing
* Maintain a strong working relationship with local authorities and emergency departments
* Conduct safety audits and meetings
**Requirements:**
* Excellent verbal communication and customer relations skills
* 3 years' experience in a safety-related field, preferably with transportation experience
* Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
* Computer literacy and ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Valid CDL license or willingness to obtain one
