Job Title: Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Day Kimball Health. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum functional potential.

Job Summary:

Under the general direction of the Physical Medicine Director, you will organize and administer prescribed physical therapy programs to reduce and/or prevent disability. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by referring physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients as prescribed by referring physicians.
  • Record treatment, response, progress, and discharge information in patient charts or enter information into computers.
  • Educate patients, family members, and significant others regarding conditions, treatments, and home programs.
  • Confer with physicians and other practitioners regarding progress, regression, or changes in treatment plans.
  • Orient, instruct, and direct assistants, aides, and students.
  • Maintain professional growth by attending department meetings, inservice, and educational conferences.
Qualifications:
  • BS, MS, or DPT degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy required.
  • Licensure by the state of Connecticut required.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required.
