Recreation Supervisor

We are seeking a Recreation Supervisor to join our team at Career Systems Development Corporation. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing recreation programs for students.
Responsibilities:- Supervise recreation staff ensuring students receive instruction in safety aspects of activities, conduct in-service training sessions.
- Plan and arrange on-center activities, including cultural events, arts, sports, and games.
- Maintain recreation supplies and equipment, ordering replacements as needed.
- Submit timely reports on recreation activities.
- Manage monthly department budget, order cleaning and function supplies.
- Formulate and recommend new or revised programs to the Social Development Director.
- E nsure programs comply with DOL requirements.
- Develop partnerships with recreational facilities directors, creating positive linkages and rapport.
- Attend required staff training sessions.
- Facilitate staff and student meetings/groups as required.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Qualifications:
A minimum Associate of Arts degree or related field. Two years' experience in supervising recreation/non-vocational programs, including athletics, sports, and crafts, music, and drama.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in physical education or Sports Management.
Knowledge:
A valid State driver's license. Ability to obtain a CDL if required. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Working knowledge of various recreation/vocational student population. Ability to inspire students and staff.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires frequent sitting, seeing, hearing, speaking, and occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, flexibility, climbing, lifting 50 pounds, carrying, kneeling, pushing/pulling, running, and driving.
Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this position is $$64,000. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
