About the Role

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Avon Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of medical imaging technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment to capture high-quality images for patient diagnosis
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures
  • Acquire and review patient data to determine contraindications for MRI examination
  • Verify and validate patient screening safety forms
  • Perform daily quality assurance checks on MRI equipment
  • Educate patients on MRI procedures and equipment
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after MRI exams
  • Assist with scheduling patients and administering contrast agents as needed
  • Acquire, archive, and transmit images via PACS
  • Complete after-hours transmission of images and paperwork
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or potential issues
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing
  • Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) within one year of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing and walking for extended periods, lifting patients of varying weight, and manipulating equipment daily. Frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds is also required.

Personal Protective Equipment

Cleveland Clinic follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
