Masonry Craftsman

Lifescape is seeking a skilled Masonry Apprentice to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will assist in the production of small- and large-scale masonry projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in reading and interpreting blueprints, structural drawings, and specifications to execute work
• Sort and gather stone, brick, or block for assembly of masonry units
• Assist in building and dismantling forms used for pouring concrete
• Set-up and take down scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
• Install projects according to plans and on budget with guidance of Mason or Foreman
• Load truck and trailer as needed to and from job site/shop
• Assist in preparing jobsites prior to the beginning of a project
• Mix various grades of mortars
• Mix, pour, and spread concrete
• Ensure structures are perfectly vertical and horizontal, using a plumb bob, level or laser
• Clean and polish surfaces with hand or power tools
• Filling expansion joints with the appropriate caulking materials

Requirements:

• OSHA-10 or higher (preferred)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
• 1+ years of field experience
• Valid driver's license with approval from fleet insurance carrier
• Proficient in paver installation, irrigation, low voltage lighting, and planting techniques
