Job Summary:
Great Western Dining is seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our team. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals for our clients. If you have a passion for cooking and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients to use in cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, and cooking food items for various meal periods or special events.
- Menu Execution: Follow basic recipes and production information to ensure that meals are prepared to the highest standards.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen, and ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure that meals are prepared efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Cooking Skills: Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods, including grilling, baking, boiling, and frying.
- Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators.
- Physical Demands: Ability to continuously walk and move around the kitchen, and to frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds.
