We are seeking a reliable and experienced Youth Basketball Referee to join our team. As a referee, you will be responsible for ensuring a fair and safe game environment for all participants.

Estimated Salary: $30-$40 per hour

Key Responsibilities

">
  1. Officiate youth basketball games with fairness and consistency
  2. Enforce program rules and policies to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment
  3. Interact with coaches, parents, and other sports officials in a professional manner
  4. Set up facility or equipment as needed and secure facility upon completion of games
  5. Report any equipment problems or safety concerns

Requirements

">
  • Previous playing or officiating experience or completion of referee training clinic
  • Successful background screening through the Association's policy
  • Adherence to drug/alcohol/smoke-free workplace policy
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and excellent verbal communication skills

Certifications and Training

">
  • CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred
  • Completion of YMCA Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training annually
  • Staff Safety Requirements/Cleaning Protocols
  • Additional training classes as recommended by Supervisor
