Job Summary

Flats LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall maintenance of our properties and ensuring that all physical aspects meet applicable laws and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot and repair various aspects of the property, including plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall.
  2. Prepare vacant units for new residents, ensuring they meet company standards.
  3. Maintain the exterior grounds of the property and perform seasonal duties such as snow removal or pool maintenance.
  4. Conduct regular walk-throughs to ensure everything is in working order and take corrective action as needed.
  5. Prepare for inspections under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer or Property Manager.
  6. Schedule outside contractors for projects, if necessary, under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer or Property Manager.
  7. Clean and supply designated building areas as needed.
  8. Schedule and execute annual inspections, including fire extinguishers, life safety systems, elevator, and other required inspections.
  9. Attend staff meetings and complete virtual trainings as required.
Requirements
  • HVAC certification/experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Demands

This position requires walking, standing, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. May be exposed to various weather conditions when working on the exterior of the property. May need to lift weights up to 100 pounds. Must be safety-conscious due to exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, and risk of electrical shock.

Travel

Minimal travel is expected for this position.
