Crane Operator Job Description

CBH Homes is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to assist in residential construction projects. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for setting trusses and operating the crane efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Operate boom crane for lifting and moving materials, ensuring accurate placement and minimizing damage.
  • Inspect and maintain crane equipment to prevent mechanical failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Requirements:

  • Crane Operator Certification, demonstrating expertise in crane operation and safety procedures.
  • Previous experience in operating heavy equipment, such as trucks or forklifts, to develop skills in maneuvering and controlling machinery.
  • Clean Driving Record, indicating a history of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic laws.
  • Pass DOT physical and drug screening, ensuring the candidate is physically fit and free from substances that could impair their ability to operate heavy equipment.
  • Effective communication skills, enabling the candidate to collaborate with colleagues and provide clear instructions to team members.
