About the Role

Plexsys is seeking a highly skilled SCARS Systems Engineer to support an Air Force program at Wright-Patterson Air Base in Dayton, OH.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in regular SCARS Engineering Capabilities Board (SECB) meetings, preparing and presenting briefings, and providing feedback to government representatives.
  • Support the Government SECB Chairperson in planning, preparation, and execution of SECB-sanctioned activities.
  • Provide technical analysis of SECB white papers, presentations, and proposals.
  • Review requirements, standards, and architecture artifacts, including SySML models, and document results.
  • Review and update SCARS plans, processes, and procedures.
  • Support data management activities to facilitate execution of SCARS requirements and SECB directives.
  • Provide recommendations and inputs for fact-finding questions and technical evaluations of SCARS Prime and Affiliate proposals.
  • Support SCARS acquisition activities, including contract management and coordination.
Requirements
  • Represent SAIC to the customer and work with the SAIC program management team to ensure requirements are met.
  • Must possess a Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and seven years of experience, or Master's degree and five years of experience, or relevant experience in lieu of degree.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Air Force or DOD acquisitions, program planning, and coordination.
  • Air Force Flight Training Simulator systems, subsystems, components, and interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering and standards processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud technology, software virtualization, and containerization.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, and Digital Engineering (DE).
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework and Cyber security approval processes.
  • Knowledge and experience with Wide Area Network technology and operations.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Database Management, and Data Analysis and Visualization.
