Key Responsibilities
  • Food Production and Quality Control: Produce and oversee meals, production, and special events to ensure quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control.
  • Menu Planning and Coordination: Prepare and coordinate all meals from standardized recipes, ensuring production sheets are completed according to food production sheets policy.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in the coordination of prep for the following day's menu, maintain daily interaction with residents, and keep stock rooms, coolers, and freezers clean and rotated.
  • Staff Management: Ensure adequate staffing of culinary employees each shift, assist in ordering and inventory, and adhere to maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training and scheduling of employees in accordance with Company human resources policy, maintain kitchen cleanliness and food preparation according to state and local health department code requirements, and adhere to personal hygiene policy.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent, Area of Study: Culinary Arts/Hospitality/General
  • Experience: Mid-level (3-5 years) in Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality
  • Certifications: SERV-SAFE Certified or equivalent, Obtain/hold any required local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates
  • Technical Competencies: Entry-level proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, and Word
  • Personal Attributes: Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards all residents, guests, and co-workers
