Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Care Assistant at Independence Assistance.

This is a full-time, part-time, or PRN position available in Lexington and surrounding counties.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to establish positive and respectful relationships with clients, supporting them to achieve their personal outcomes and desires.

Estimated Salary: $17/hour for qualified individuals, plus benefits and flexible scheduling.

Our care assistants receive professional and competitive pay for their work, including mileage reimbursement, paid travel time, health insurance, matching retirement, and paid on-site training.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal care needs, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and provide companionship care for elderly clients in their own homes.
  • Transport clients to and from appointments, providing safe and reliable transportation services.
  • Provide or assist in light housekeeping, including meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping, to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Maintain client confidentiality at all times, handling sensitive information with discretion and respect.
  • Complete mandatory training as assigned, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance, ensuring seamless delivery of services to our clients.
