GENERAL FUNCTION
The Director of Operational Audit will lead the audit team, ensuring the effective execution of client audits in accordance with established professional standards. This role encompasses strategic oversight, mentorship of team members, and the organization of audit activities to meet specified deadlines. The Audit Director will serve as the primary liaison for clients, cultivating strong relationships and addressing their needs. Responsibilities include developing governance processes, leveraging data analytics to refine audit methodologies, and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. The Audit Director will also oversee the preparation and presentation of audit reports, ensuring clarity and effective communication of findings to senior management and stakeholders.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership, direction, and performance management for the audit team, focusing on mentorship and development.
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities to ensure thorough execution and coverage of client audits.
- Act as the escalation point for audit-related matters with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit processes.
- Utilize data analytics and technology to improve audit methodologies and tools.
- Monitor and report on audit statuses, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring their requirements are met.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to maximize the value of audit services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align audit activities with organizational goals and priorities.
- Develop and implement comprehensive governance processes to enhance leadership awareness of audit performance, trends, and risks.
- Ensure transparency in audit processes and effectively communicate results to senior management and stakeholders.
- Clearly articulate audit findings and recommendations to facilitate understanding and action.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit department and across the organization.
- Oversee the coordination of EyeMed's SOC I report, collaborating with internal control owners and third-party assessors.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in a business or law-related field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in leading an operations team.
- Experience in a project oversight role with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders.
- Understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to the company.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
- Capability to influence both internal and external parties.
- Collaborative work style with a focus on building positive working relationships.
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Project management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's Degree.
- Experience in the healthcare sector.
Compensation is determined by various factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
