Job Summary

The Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for learning and understanding of assigned functions related to their site Warehouse operations team. This process is accomplished through hands-on learning, understanding, and adhering to all safety standards, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and customer requirements with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Understands warehouse layout and functionality of scanners and DSI software to perform all the transactions required to successfully complete all the different tasks across all functions.
  • Work associated with safe operation of PIT equipment.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, electric hand trucks, walk along pallet lifts, hoist, and other equipment as needed.
  • Active participation in daily Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) verification list at the beginning of each shift.
  • Communicate any issues to the Supervisor that prevents the unit from being used.
  • Conducts equipment check list verification of trailers before and after unloading.
  • Adheres to cGMP standards in completing relevant paperwork, following good documentation practices, and performing quality control checks.
  • Escalates issues related to safety, quality compliance, and equipment status.
  • Communicates needs or other support as needed.
  • Participates in all required housekeeping (5S), cleaning, and sanitation.
  • Successfully completes required training.
Requirements
  • Education: HS Diploma or combination of equivalent education and experience or knowledge required.
  • Certification: Must be able to complete PIT (Powered Industrial Trucks) driving test and certification training.
  • Experience: Minimum 0-2 years warehouse experience.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse processes or a combination of skills, knowledge, and demonstrated ability to learn recommended.
Physical Requirements
  • Required to stand while Operating PIT Equipment for the entire shift, stopping at multiple rack locations while picking up cases of different sizes and weights to stack on pallets.
  • May perform repetitive job duties during training and rotations depending on assignment.
  • Intermittently lifts and or move loads unassisted of up to 40 pounds and over 40 pounds with the use of pallet jacks (manual or powered), two-person lift, pallet jack, or other mechanical aids.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate equipment controls, and hand tools.
Work Environment

Operating conditions may vary by department and area. Employees are required to wear all PPE for the assigned department.
